Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante has bet from its beginnings on R&D as a basic tool for the development and improvement of its services. In this way, during the last year different methods focused on the study of DNA have been developed, among which we could group the species detection, species identification, community characterization by massive sequencing and detection and identification of antibiotic resistant bacteria and their associated resistance genes. This type of analysis is based on qPCR techniques, Sanger Sequencing or mass sequencing.

The use of genomic techniques based on DNA is a very powerful tool to detect and identify the species present in a sample of interest, regardless of their origin. Thus, these techniques can be applied to a wide range of samples, including environmental samples of water, sediment or organisms and samples from the agri-food sector.
