Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante widens the first ENAC accreditation as Entity of Environmental Inspection in the area of water
Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante has widened its ENAC accreditation as Entity of Environmental Inspection in agreement with the ISO 17020, including in its scope the six targets of inspection, established in the “Protocol for the Inspection of Wastewater Discharges aimed to Collaborator Entities of Hydraulic Administration”, and published by the Agriculture, Food an Environmental Ministry.
As a result, Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante has become the first Entity of Environmental Inspection accredited in the area of water in the six targets of inspection defined in the mentioned protocol. In addition to this, a new area has been added “the wastewater and discharges installations”, which allows the company to bring support to the Hydraluic Administration in the analysis and inspections delimited by the River Basin Authorities in order to check the quality of the discharges and the efficiency of the wastewater and discharges installations.
Finally, a new service is offered by the company to the owners of the Discharge Authorizations, by accrediting to the Hydraluic Administration the conditions of its discharges.
The National Entity of Accreditation evaluates, within the Spanish territory, the technical competence of the testing and calibration laboratories and inspection entities, which carry out their activities in any area: Environment, Health, Industry, Agriculture and Food, R&D, Tourism, Construction, Transport, Services, Telecommunications, etc.
ENAC has been designated by the Spanish State as the only National Organism of Accreditation, in agreement with the Regulation (CE) nº 765/2008 of the European Parliament and the Council, 9 of July of 2008.
The companies accredited by ENAC are enabled for using its brand, depending on the area in which the accreditation has been obtained. The ENAC brand allows distinguishing if a report is accredited or not, ad is a guarantee that the organization which provides it is technically competent for carring out the task.
